The way bread should be
Each loaf is naturally leavened with a 100-year-old sourdough starter, organic flour, sea salt, and filtered water—no preservatives, just pure, traditional sourdough. We’re passionate about creating bread that’s delicious and packed with health benefits, supporting a lifestyle as fresh as the ocean air.
our process

Prep Starter – It all begins with our 100-year-old sourdough starter. Before each batch, we feed our starter to make it active and bubbly. This natural fermentation creates the wild yeast needed for a beautiful rise and that distinctive sourdough flavor.

Work the Dough – Next, we combine the active starter with organic flour, sea salt, and filtered water. Mixing and kneading the dough builds strength and structure, essential for creating a perfectly chewy crumb and crust.

Rise & Ferment – After kneading, we let the dough rest and ferment. This is where the magic happens: the slow fermentation process develops deep flavors, natural tang, and a light, airy texture in the finished loaf.

Shape & Bake – Finally, we shape the dough, score the top, and bake each loaf to golden perfection. The result is a crusty, aromatic bread with a soft, chewy interior that’s ready to be enjoyed!

We grow our own fruits, vegetables, and herbs, and freshly mill many of our grains each baking day to ensure every ingredient is vibrant, nutrient-rich, and full of flavor—bringing you bread that’s truly farm-to-table.

From artisan sourdough to seasonal sweets, our menu changes with the seasons to bring you the best of what’s fresh and local.We always have our classic sourdough loaves, as well as rotating seasonal goodies like cinnamon rolls, sweet breads, cookies, and jams made from homegrown fruits. I’m Kristen, a lifelong lover of the ocean, healthy living, and fresh-baked sourdough. Living by the coast, I find inspiration in the natural rhythms of the sea and the simplicity of good, wholesome food. My journey with sourdough began over five years ago, fueled by a desire to create nutritious, organic bread for my family.At Crafted Coastal Bakery, each loaf is made with high-quality ingredients: organic flour (some even home-milled!), filtered water, and a 100-year-old sourdough starter that’s become a part of our family. Every batch is created with the kind of care and love I believe goes into the best food.My mission is to share this passion for healthy, clean food with my community. From traditional sourdough to seasonal treats made with ingredients from my own yard, I’m excited to bring delicious, nutrient-rich bread to your table.
